We’re coming to the end of a great year. During 2015 we saw the completion of two houses and two other houses nearing completion. We also saw work for our first childcare centre and aged care housing commence.

The year started with our Tamarama House being completed and has since featured in Belle. The house was timely constructed by J Reis Building Services with interiors by Decus Interiors and landscaping by Will Dangar.

2015 saw the completion our Port Douglas house (image 1) and full credit to Vis Constructions. This is Porebski Architects’ second house in the Mirage Beachfront Estate.

We commenced design work for the Holy Family childcare centre at Maryong. This will be our first Childcare centre and is based on a playful motif.

Our Bathurst St House (photos 2-4) in Woollahra is making great progress with lock up not far away. Featuring face concrete block work internally and externally which can be seen in the photos of the entry and living room. This house has an inverted plan similar to the Tamarama House, with the living areas on the first floor to take advantage of the tree views and really creating a tree house experience.

Moving at remarkable speed is the Waverley House (photos 5-6) which commenced construction in October. Full credit to the team at D-Constructions. The alterations and additions is for close friends to an existing bungalow house and was done as a Complying Development. The existing house retains much of its original features while the new rear family room extension shows a contemporary flair.

We are looking forward to 2016 with the commencement of a new house at Castlecrag. Located in the Walter Burley-Griffen conservation area this is a new home featuring face concrete brickwork and off-form concrete.

Happy New Year!
