On a small and awkward site, this house has been designed to turn its back on the busy main road while all rooms face out towards expansive Harbour views. An L-shaped plan has been adopted which forms a north facing outdoor area. The outdoor area is sheltered from the main road by the house. The house is cut into the site and comprises 4 levels with lift access. The client has a keen interest in American modern architecture of the 1920’s and as such the house makes clear stylistic references to work of that period.
